IDPwD is a United Nations observed day celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
This December, in supporting IDPwD, Assistive Technology Australia shares a special interview with two Assistive Technology Mentors (AT Mentors).
We took the opportunity to ‘get to know’ our two AT Mentors, Peter Simpson and Caytlin Weir, to find out how their lived experience of disability has shaped their roles.

AT Australia has attempted to contain the costs of the Home Modifications course and as such has not reviewed this since 2015.
The costs of running the course have increased considerably over that time and although we wish to ensure the affordability of the course, supporting the work of allied health professionals, we now need to increase the cost for the current online course from $890 to $990 (inc GST).
To give the community of allied health professionals the time to plan and absorb this necessary change, the increase will take effect from 1 January 2021 and applies to the online delivery mode of the course.
