Worldmade Active Folding Wheelchair

A rear wheel drive, self propelled, manual wheelchair featuring a folding steel frame. The wheelchair is available in four seat widths and features tension adjustable backrest and seat upholstery. Designed to suit adult users in semi-urban terrain.

Frame
* The wheelchair has a folding, steel frame with a double cross brace
* It is designed to suit terrain found in semi-urban areas of developing countries

Seat
* The wheelchair has fabric tension adjustable seat upholstery
* It is provided with a contoured foam cushion with a nylon cover as standard
* The seat is available in four seat widths and two seat depths

Backrest
* The backrest features fabric tension adjustable upholstery
* The upholstery is made from nylon
* The backrest can be set to two different height positions - "High" and "Low". The high position is 100mm higher than the low position

Armrests
The wheelchair features fixed, desk length armrests with skirt guards

Legrest
* The two legrests are fixed
* A calf strap is provided as standard

Footplates
* The two piece footplates can be adjusted to two angles: 4 and 12 degrees from horizontal
* The footplates are also height adjustable

Rear Wheels
* The rear wheels are pneumatic, 660mm (26") diameter, with 40 spoke aluminium rims
* The position of the rear wheels can be set at two different positions called the "Safe" and the "Active". The "Safe" setting is positioned 70mm further back than the "Active"

Front Wheels
Two swivelling, 150mm (6") diameter, rubber castor wheels with a flat profile
