Maintenance

* The Forelli should be cleaned after every use.
* Use normal disinfecting solution to clean the cover
* After cleaning, use the foot controls to bring the Forelli into the 'W' position and hang the edges of the cover over the sides of the handrails. This will allow air to get underneath the cover and it will dry more quickly
* The headrest should also be disinfected as should the drain pipe
* The foot controls, battery and motor should be cleaned with a dry cloth

More Details

Controls
* Foot operated switches
* Right foot panel has a switch for raising the height and a switch for lowering the height of the trolley
* Left foot panel has a separate switch for raising the centre of the lying surface, and a separate switch for flattening the centre of the lying surface, progressing to also lowering the sides

Drop sides
* The drop sides of the Forelli are raised electronically for moving the user safely to the bath. In this position the shower trolley is used like a conventional shower trolley
* The fold down side rails are manually lifted and lowered

Battery
* Rechargeable battery is placed in the battery holder at the foot of the mast
* Battery capacity 24V / 2.9 Ah

Battery Charging
* Charger 220V / 24 V / 1 Ah
* To charge the battery, plug it into the charger. The charger shuts off automatically when the batteries are fully charger. The batteries cannot be overcharged.

Castors
* Four individually braked castors

Method Of Use

* To transfer a patient from a bed to the shower trolley, firstly lower the handrail at the side by gently pushing it towards the head of the trolley
* Using the foot controls, place the lying area in a flat position, the trolley will automatically beep to indicate that the lying area is flat
* Again, using the foot controls, bring the trolley to the desired height and then push it parallel to the bed
* Take care that the side wall of the lying area is on the mattress of the bed and lock all four castors
* Normally transferring is by means of a sliding aid or by rolling the user
* After transferring the user to the trolley, use the foot controls to bring up the side wall and then raise the handrail
* Before transporting the user, remember to unlock the brakes on the castors and lock them again when the journey has been completed
* At all times the Forelli should only be used to transport on flat surfaces

Considerations

* The Forelli can be a useful aid when dressing some people as it helps the carer to turn the patient onto their left or right side
