Baby Isolette Mattress

Roho Dry Floatation Baby Isolette Mattress

The Roho Baby Isolette overlay is a constant low pressure device into which the infant sinks comfortably so that the weight is distributed over a greater surface area. The degree of patient immersion is controlled by the volume of air introduced into the air cell with a hand pump. The unique design of each individual air cell allows for maximum skin contact and even pressure relief.

Considerations

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent any 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony prominences are pressed against the surface below the mattress or seating cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (e.g. correct inflation levels), a different product may need to be used. User weights can change over time and the weight limit including linen on bed ,etc should not exceed the recommended product safe working load limit.

If non blanchable erytheme is observed either reposition the patient more frequently or upgrade to a higher level support surface.

The Roho cushion can be punctured.
