CONSTRUCTION: This cushion has three components:
. Firm foam base is made from a lightweight, anatomically shaped, moisture resistant foam. It has been contoured to provide support and increase seating stability, thereby maximising the users functional skills.
. Air flotation support pad sits on top of the foam base. It is made up of a number of interconnected air cells. The air cells are inflated via a single valve using a hand pump, then the inflation is adjusted according to the users weight and weight distribution. This ensures that the the user is immersed into the pad resulting in increased comfort, enhanced blood flow and decreased interface pressures.
. The cushion comes supplied with a cover, pump, operations manual and patch kit.

COVER: The removable cover is moisture resistant and has a slip resistant base and a black 2 way stretch top

CLEANING: Washable: Air Floatation Support Pad may be cleaned with soap and water. Moisture resistant cover is machine washable.

Considerations

All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level) , a different product may need to be considered.
