More Details

The Pad can help people when getting in and out of cars, bed or dining chairs without arms on the chair. Sometimes the person may be able to turn themselves by leaning against the back of the seat, or use their arms to pull themselves around. Alternatively, the Carer may use the webbing handles to turn the person on the pad.

The Pad has wipeable vinyl material on the underside. It can therefore be used upside down if the user is incontinent or a separate water resistant cover can be used to go over the top disc of the pad. This can be sprayed and wiped between patients or removed for hand for machine washing. On request, the Pad can be supplied with this cover sewn permanently in place.

Consult a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Back Care Specialist when using Manual Handling Products.

Method Of Use

For car transfers:
The Pad is placed on the carseat, so when the person sits down the Pad will bend to the shape of the seat. The person can then turn themselves into the car to face the front. After the journey is over they can then turn themselves again to get out of the car.
