Structure
* 18 individual cylindrical nylon TPC air cells (127mm high) span the full width of the overlay
* An alternating series of air cells is used. These inflate and deflate in a ten minute cycle progressively supporting and relaxing areas of the body where pressure injuries usually occur
* The overlays have strong nylon PVC bases with integrated heavy duty zipper seals
* Each durable nylon air cell is individually replaceable. The cells clip into place on the base
* Some of the centrally located cells have low air loss properties

Attachment
* The overlays fasten to the bed mattress with strong elastic straps which attach under each end of the mattress in a 'T' configuration

Pump / Control
* The control unit is designed to inflate the system underneath a person weighing up to 130kg
* It features hanging hooks and variable pressure controls and visual alarms
* An optional Power Down Alarm provides a visual and audible alert to any control unit power failure. This alarm is standard on the pump supplied by Mac Med Healthcare
* The unit has low noise operation and quick release connections

Cover
* Multi stretch PU which is breathable and waterproof. It is secured to the base via heavy duty zipper
* The low shear and stretch fabric prevents 'hammocking' between cells

* CPR tag for fast deflation in an emergency

Cleaning
* Machine washing and infection control instructions are attached
* System can easily clip apart for cleaning
