More Details

The seat can be removed from the frame and mounted onto a toilet, or be used as a bath seat with the attachment of suction cups. When used on the mobile frame it can be placed over the toilet, used as a freestanding commode or as a shower chair

Standard Features
* The Flamingo is standardly supplied with the seat and backrest, folding frame, four locking wheels, footrest, back and seat upholstery and a splash guard.
* Any of the standard components and additional accessories can be obtained separately.

Materials
Seat made of white ABS
Upholstery polyurethane
Frame aluminium and stainless steel

Backrest
* The backrest is covered with a removable upholstery which is waterproof.
* The upholstery attaches to the backrest via five protrusions which slot into circular holes on the backrest.
* The angle of the backrest is adjustable separately to the seat. This is performed by loosening the wing nut shaped handles at each side panel of the backrest and then securing in place once the desired angle is obtained.
* Slots for the attachment of additional postural supports are also featured on the backrest.

Seat
* The seat is covered with waterproof padded upholstery.
* The splashguard is removable by sliding it on and off the front of the seat.
* Slot attachments are featured at the rear of the seat for the placement of postural supports.
* The seat and backrest are able to tilt together in one unit to alter the angle (tilt in space). This is completed by loosening the wing nut shaped handles at each side of the mobile frame (below the handle to alter the backrest position), and then tighten in place.

Frame
* The frame is height adjustable and features four locking castors.

Footrests
* The footrests are adjustable in height and angle, and can be tilted backwards during transfers.
* Straps can be mounted on the footplates as an option.

Option Details
* Wider upholstery can easily be added to an existing Flamingo if a user has too much width in their chair.
* A head rest is available which is mounted on the rear of the backrest
* Lateral side supports which attach to the backrest and are width adjustable. A swing away version is available
* An armrest / tray which mounts into fittings both sides of the seat and swings away to the side
* Commode pan with holder
* Hardware to mount the seat onto a toilet
* Suction cups that fit underneath the bath seat

Method Of Use

1.To dismount the seat, first remove the commode pan (if in place) and then the screws on each side of the front of the seat.
2.The seat is then able to be lifted from the frame.
3.The seat may only be used on the toilet with the mounting hardware and in the bath with suction cups put in place under the seat.

Folding the Flamingo.
1.Remove the commode pan if in place.
2.Tip the footplates back into a vertical position.
3.Push the complete footrest unit up under the seat until it clicks in place by pushing down on the green knobs each side of the top of the footrest hangers.
4.Remove the tray if in place and position the seat backrest in a forward position.
5.Remove the screws at both sides of the seat front and remove the seat from the frame.
6.Loosen the handles that alter the seat tilt, pull downwards on the two green knobs on the frame and tilt the seat down so it is parallel with the frame.
