Bruno Electra-Ride Stairlifts

A battery powered stairlift for straight or winding stairways. The winding model can be mounted on either side of the stairway to accommodate doorways or other obstructions and can be parked around a corner when not required. The other model is for straight staircases of up to 7.5 metres. Models are available for indoor and outdoor use.

TGA
Many of the items on the Assistive Technology Australia website are categorised as a Medical Device. Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You can ask the supplier for the ARTG number for the device you wish to purchase and search the ARTG for the entry. To access information on the ARTG visit www.tga.gov.au

When buying a medical device it is advisable to only choose a medical device that is recommended by a healthcare professional and has been included on the ARTG.

FEATURES
. Rack and pinion system
. Retractable seat belt
. Locking swivel seat top and bottom (45 and 90 degrees)
. Adjustable swing out arms
. The stairlift utilises a soft - start electronic controller which can adjust the speed of the stairlift according to the weight of the passenger. This prevents uneven starts and ensures a consistently smooth ride.
. It is operated by push button control at the front of one of the armrests.
. The chair consists of a padded, upholstered seat and backrest (dual density foam) and has a foot platform.
. The chair swivels and locks at 90 degrees, operated by pulling a lever at the side of the chair, allowing easier access.
. When not in use the seat base, armrests and foot platform may be folded upwards to create more space for other stair traffic.
. The stairlift contains two 12 volt batteries which are continuously charged by a battery charger that plugs into any household outlet.
. Two remote call - send stations with a charging indicator light at the top and bottom of the stairway
. A footplate safety sensor stops the unit if there is a stairway obstruction. . An adjustable seat height
. Rated for rider weights up to 159kg and custom seating sizes are available. May be suitable for bariatric use up to the specified load capacity
. Power is provided by two 12 volt gel-cell batteries, continuously charged by a 24 volt battery charger - battery powered operation ensures that that access is available even when there is an interruption in the electrical service.

ELECTRA RIDE ELITE
. The 190mm stairlift rail runs up one side of the staircase and is attached to the floor.
. The system can be mounted on either side of the staircase at the time of of installation.

ELECTRA-RIDE III
The rail can be installed as close as 180mm from the wall. It is anchored to the stairtreads and each rail system and set of rail clamps is custom engineered for the particular stairway.
. The locking swivel seat has an Easy-Slide feature enabling it to be slipped back out of the way when not in use. The seat and footplate fold to give an overall folded width of 420mm.

Considerations

Lift registration
In NSW the owner or controller of the lift (if not the owner) is required to register their lift with WorkCover. They need to complete the WorkCover form PIR (Plant Item Registration)January 2011 Application for the registration of an item of plant

A fee of $65 is charged for a lift installed in a public place. There is no charge for a lift installed in a private home. The applicant must state that the plant has been inspected by a competent person and is safe to operate (use).

It is compulsory that the lift in a public place be inspected annually by a competent person. WorkCover requires payment for registration as well as an annual fee.
