Symmetrisleep Body Support System

A body support system for maintaining correct bodily posture while sleeping. It uses foam cushions, brackets and sheets. It is infinitely adjustable for supine, prone or side lying.

More Details

* A postural management system constructed from highly conforming Lowzone foam cushions, acrylic brackets and sheets combined with 2 way stretch, wipe clean, breathable fabrics

Structure
* A sheet with velcro strips is attached to the bed (all sizes can be accommodated: cot, single or double)
* The support shape is built up by attaching the right angled brackets and the Lowzone cushions to the velcro. The layout is then recorded on the assessment chart. If required, felt pen can be used to mark out the velcro
* A conforming Lowzone overmantle and an elasticated sheet cover the whole assembly
* The user is positioned so that they is as symmetrical as possible
* A top sheet or duvet is added
* Cushions and brackets can be quickly removed and relocated to assist transfers
* Adaptable, comfortable support for anyone who cannot find a comfortable sleeping position
* Improved comfort reduces abnormal muscle tone during the night
* Helps to maintain body symmetry and protects joints from the destructive effects of gravity
* Can be used as part of a 24 hour postural management programme
