Many of the items on the Assistive Technology Australia website are categorised as a Medical Device. Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You can ask the supplier for the ARTG number for the device you wish to purchase and search the ARTG for the entry. To access information on the ARTG visit www.tga.gov.au

When buying a medical device it is advisable to only choose a medical device that is recommended by a healthcare professional and has been included on the ARTG.

More Details

* Designed to provide exercise, with increase in venous blood flow, for a person restricted to a sitting position for long periods or unable to walk due to frailty or illness
* Also provides lumbar and neck support
* For use as an exercise aid, semi-inflate (50%). For support, less air is needed (30%)
* Adjustable to user's needs. Shoes should be removed before exercising
* Pedal Action: Pressing down with feet alternately, exercises muscles and joints feet to knees to hips
* Heel toe (treadle) action: To aid venous circulation, turn the Push Cush sideways, bridge the centre division with both feet and rock them together with an alternating heel toe action
* For an adjustable lumbar or neck support, reduce inflation to approximately 30%, fold over and clip with the inbuilt press stud
