Coraille Shell Chair

Coraille Shell Chair & Coraille XXL

This tilt-in-space height adjustable Shell Chair features a padded headrest, two large rear wheels and two smaller front wheels, a one piece spring mounted footplate, adjustable chair angle and leg supports, as well as a foot brake connected to the rear wheels. The chair is supported by an aluminium frame with the seat material available in Dartex Plum or Dartex Green colours. Options are available. Two seat widths are available.

Considerations

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use, a different product may need to be considered.

Seat depth is a critical measurement. Too deep a seat can tip a person back onto their sacrum increasing the risk of pressure sores on this bony area.
