Assistive Technology Guide - Sock or Stocking Aid
A sock or stocking aid is a piece of adaptive equipment or assistive device that allows people to put on their socks/stockings easily despite pain and physical limitations. For people who have difficulty bending and reaching their feet, a sock/stocking aid can allow them to independently put on their socks/stockings. A sock/stocking aid is made of flexible or semi-flexible material (often plastic) that is attached to two long handles (rope, cord, metal).
