Vela Twist Work Chair

Vela Twist Adjustable Work Chair

Vela Twist is an adjustable, self propelled chair that is a hybrid between the Vela work chair and a rigid frame manual wheelchair. It is designed for indoor use and has adjustment of the seat height, depth and tilt including the backrest and armrests. All functions can be adjusted with the user sitting in the chair. The folding armrests allow the user to laterally transfer, such as to a bed or another chair. Available in one standard configuration but the supplier can customise the seat width and depth and backrest. Optional accessories are available.

Many of the items on the Assistive Technology Australia website are categorised as a Medical Device. Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You can ask the supplier for the ARTG number for the device you wish to purchase and search the ARTG for the entry. To access information on the ARTG visit www.tga.gov.au

* Press a button on the right or left armrest to adjust height
* Seat depth and tilt are operated via a lever on the right side just under the armrest

* VELA Twist comes as standard in black phoenix fabric, which is durable, breathable and very comfortable.
* Options available for foams, textiles and colours. VELA also offers a large selection of artificial leather or the option of various seat covers.

* Rounded backrest which allows free movement of back, shoulders and elbows
* Height adjustable and tilts
* Back height adjustment lever on right side of seat

* Press red handle down on both wheels to activate brakes

* The electric height adjustment of the seat allows the user to work at high tables and kitchen tables.
* Compact work chair with all the benefits from a conventional wheelchair. This means the user easily gets around in the work place and positions them- selves at level with the work task.
