Seating Matters Phoenix Chair

The Phoenix is a highly adjustable pressure relief chair. It is the most supportive and functional chair of the Seating Matters chairs. Designed to give maximum support to the upper body through lateral, head and shoulder supports, the Phoenix will also adapt to the changing needs of a person being rehabilitated or meet the long term needs of a progressive condition. Features include tilt in space, back recline and elevating leg rests. A powered tilt in space option is available. This chair is suitable for adults. Also available in children's size.

Considerations

All pressure reduction products must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion or mattress. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use, a different product may need to be considered.
