More Details
The Decaf Java back support has been designed to enable the user to quickly, easily, and independently optimise pelvic support and balance the trunk in a way that mimics the normal rhythm and movement of the body. It aims to provide the user with comfort and stability at rest, and less interference with function and mobility.
Features and adjustments
* The backrest is attached to the wheelchair through the use of the mounting system, Flex-Loc mounting, which has multiple axes and allows the backrest height, angle and depth to be adjusted independent of the backrest's mounting position on the wheelchair back canes.
* The Flex-Loc mounting also allows for rotational and asymmetrical adjustments of the backrest.
* The Flex-Loc mounting offers permanent or quick release attachment of the backrest.
* Under quick release configuration, the backrest can be removed with one hand.
Materials
* Plastic shell with foam padding and metal adjustable back stays for gluteal support.
* Metal hardware which clamps on to the back canes of the wheelchair.
Frame material
* Hard moulded plastic shell
* Adjustable postural inserts
* Foam padded overlay
* Metal adjustable width clamps for varying tube widths
Cover
* Removable and washable spacer fabric cover
* Breathable (vapour permeable) with two way stretch
* Meets all (USA) fire regulations and standards

Considerations
* Because of their potential to exacerbate deformity, postural support products need regular monitoring to ensure that their positioning and use remains appropriate to the users needs and body shape.
