More Details

These Battery Device Adapters convert a battery-operated toy or appliance into a switch-accessible toy.

Method Of Use

The small copper paddle end of Battery Device Adapter (or battery interrupter) sits between a contact in the battery housing and the pole of one of the batteries, which creates a "circuit breaker". The other end hangs out of the battery housing as best as you can manage, often some notching is required to close the battery housing door or lid.

Once connected and the toy or appliance is turned to ON, a switch is plugged into the standard mono-plug end of the Battery Device Adapter; a press of the switch closes the circuit and the toy operates.

Operation is momentary and is for the duration of the switch press - i.e press and hold the switch and the toy works, release the switch and the toy stops.

Considerations

These Battery Device Adapters work best with simple, ON/OFF type toys or appliances where you can set then to ON or OFF by a selector in the toy. These adapters are not suitable for toys or appliances with more complicated operation.
