Kisa Mobile Phone

Kisa Mobile Phone

A mobile phone designed for easy use. It can have up to 10 personalised contacts programmed by the supplier. It cannot send or receive texts. There is one button to answer a call and a large dedicated SOS button. Contacts can be shown as a photo, text or braille. The back panel can be personalised to show contact details, allergies etc. The phone uses 3G and 4G on the Vodaphone or Telstra network.

* The KISA phone number will be displayed on the back of the KISA phone.
* The KISA phone can have between 1 and 10 contacts
* Contacts can be added in other languages
* Light enough to be worn around your neck with the provided lanyard
* A wall charger, lanyard and a charging cradle area included with the KISA phone
* Available in many styles and colours, including high contrast
* Can be customised with medical information such as allergies and blood type in large font on the back
* Loud ringtone and speaker volume
* Large easy to press mechanical buttons
* Avoid bill shock if user forgets to hang up by limiting the time length of non emergency outbound calls.
* Loudspeaker for hands-free operation
* Durable if dropped
* Vibration feedback when buttons are pressed

Recharging
* KISA phone uses a small MicroUSB plug to charge its battery. The charging cradle is recommended for users who may have difficulty handling a small plug or users who would like the simplest and easiest way to charge their phone.

Method Of Use

* The phone is delivered fully charged and read to be used out of the box.

To turn KISA phone on:
* On the back of the phone place switch to the ON position
* On the front of the phone press and hold End Call button until you hear the welcome tone
* Wait for the green light to flash once

To make a call
* Press any Name button to make a call

To end call
* Press End Call button once

To use SOS
* Press SOS button 4 times in 3 seconds

To end SOS
* Press End Call button once

To charge the KISA phone
* Place KISA phone in to KISA charging cradle (KISA phone will last over 7 days in standby mode)

* China, R&D and final assembly in Australia. Support centre is in Melbourne

* KISA Children: Basic mobile phone designed for children
* KISA Arthritis: Basic mobile phone with vibration feedback when buttons are pressed
* KISA Dementia: Basic mobile phone with personalised pictures of contacts
* KISA Senior: Basic mobile phone designed for seniors

Standards
Some assistive technology needs to meet Australian or other standards. Standards may relate to materials, manufacturing and installation. TGA
Many of the items on the Assistive Technology Australia website are categorised as a Medical Device. Medical devices that are approved for use in Australia have been entered into a national database called the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG), which is maintained by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). You can ask the supplier for the ARTG number for the device you wish to purchase and search the ARTG for the entry. To access information on the ARTG visit www.tga.gov.au
