More Details

* Pressure relief cushions can act as thermal insulators and retain body heat. This contributes to skin breakdown. The AireRx cushions are designed to reduce moisture and body heat
* The shape provides pelvic stability and pressure relief

Materials
* Contoured multi density foam construction with a waterproof coating for users with urinary incontinence

Structure
* The shape provides pelvic stability and pressure relief
* Front to rear contours channel fluids away from the user and allow air flow'
* The SPPC model is equipped with electrical air circulation fan powered by rechargeable batteries

Cover
* A lightweight three dimensional multifilament three-way stretch cover
* Breathable
* Provides cushioning
* Removable

Cool-Comfort Technology
* Air flow channels help manage temperature buildup and moisture retention
* Air flow cover helps reduce heat, moisture and shear-major causes of skin tissue trauma

Application
People at risk of pressure injury who also have particular heat and moisture issues

Considerations

All cushions must be monitored to prevent 'bottoming out'. This occurs when the user's weight bears down so hard on the product material that it is flattened and the bony parts are pressed against the surface below the cushion. Where bottoming out occurs even with correct use (eg correct choice and depth of foam, correct inflation level) , a different product may need to be considered.

Ensure that the item is not accidentally placed upside down or back to front.
It is advisable that a health professional be consulted when considering a suitable pressure care product.

Foam must be regularly replaced as it losses its spring and becomes hard after long term use
