Arjo Range Of Alternating Air Mattresses

A range of alternating air mattress overlay or replacement systems made from durable nylon coated polyurethane. Can be operated either as an alternating cyclic or static model. The Alpha Active 3 is a mattress overlay. The Alpha Active 4 is a mattress replacement system. Suitable for people at medium to high risk of developing a pressure injury. For use in domestic or community care settings.

Models

Two models available
* Alpha Active 3 - a mattress overlay system
* Alpha Active 4 - a mattress replacement system

Main difference is the shape and set up of the modular cells (Active 4 are larger) and the automated features of the pump (Active 4 has greater automated functions)

Structure
* Air mattress replacement system or overlay. The Alpha 4 is a mattress replacement system and the Alpha 3 comes in an overlay only set up
* Cells are made of durable nylon for ease of cleaning and bacterial resistance

Cover
* Active 3:
* Durable nylon Dartex 2 way stretch cover
* Water resistant, fire retardant
* Active 4:
* Durable nylon Dartex 2 way stretch top cover
* Water resistant and fire retardant
* Bottom cover is nylon coated knitted fabric. Both bottom and top covers are connected with press studs

Attachment
* Overlay sits on top of existing mattress
* Mattress replacement system comes with a foam mattress

Pump / Controls (for alternating air mattress overlays)
* Pump systems are separate to the mattress / mattress overlay
* The Active 3 and 4 have different pump operating systems
* Active 3:
* Operates with 2 modes of either static or alternating on a 12 minute cycle
* Pressure is set manually with a dial. Pump requires to be connected to power outlet
* Active 4:
* Operates with 2 modes of either static or alternating on a 10 or 20 minute cycle
* Cycles and pressure are set electronically. Has an auto-firm function for patient transfer and nursing care
* Electrically operated

Safety Features
* Warning visual and audio alarms for low pressure, power failure and pump fault
* Active 3 and Active 4 feature quick CPR deflate functions
