Our qualified allied health professionals are here to answer any questions you may have on Assistive Technology in everyday living, communication, mobility, home modifications and building design. We also provide AT Assessments.
Please note: We do not sell the AT products,
we display them and can provide you with the contacts information of the suppliers who do.

AT Australia Seamless Living

Assistive Technology Assessments

Seamless Living
a service of The Independent Living Centre NSW (AT Australia), is now providing Assistive Technology Assessments for some people.

WHO is it for?
NSW CHSP clients, private clients, people in rural and regional NSW, Regional NSW NDIS self-managed and plan managed participants.

HOW DO WE DO IT?
Our team of experienced allied health professionals and/ or assistive technology mentors will first seek to understand your needs and requirements for assistive technology. Then they will work with you to identify available suitable solution/s from which you are able to make an informed choice.

WHERE DO WE DO To start?
You only need to call our friendly team. We will do a screening assessment over the phone. This call will help us to plan the assessment and the venue. This may continue over the telephone or telehealth option, in our office, your home or at an AT store.

WHAT ARE OUR CHARGES?
NSW CHSP Client: co-payment of $50.00 per hour.
Private client & NSW reginal NDIS (Plan or self managed) clients: prices as per NDIS price list.
** Notes: additional travel charges may be applicable and our team will discuss and inform you during the screening.

AT Australia Info-Line is a free information service available to anyone needing advice on Assistive Technology solutions, home modifications and design ideas.

Info-Line operating hours are between 9am and 4pm. Info-Line calls made outside these hours will be attended to as soon as our staff are available.

AT Australia Display

A Livable Design Display

AT Australia has built a full sized one bedroom apartment, with home modifications in situ, into the new display at Blacktown. Built to the Livable Housing Design Guidelines, showcasing assistive technology devices, involving high tech as well as simplle and good design.

Opening Hours

AT Australia Display is opened from 9am to 4pm
Monday to Friday except public holidays.

Our display centre is located at:

  • Level 4 (Rooftop), Shop 4019

Make an appointment with our Allied Health Professionals

If you would like to visit the display and talk with a therapist about advice on Assistive Technology, you can make an appointment and consult with one of our health professionals in greater depth.

We offer free advice on practical solutions to everyday problems to people with disabilities, older people, their carers and family members. This can include advice on Assistive Technology for communication, self-care and mobility as well as a range of products and design ideas to maintain or increase independence for everyday living.

Visit AT Australia Display

Our display centre showcases a comprehensive range of Assistive Technology (AT) products for everyday living. People who wish to view the AT on display need to make an appointment with one of our therapists during our opening hours.

Group Tours

We run group tours for members of community organisations and student groups to provide a general overview of the types of Assistive Technology available to assist with daily living activities, communication and mobility.

We show you the latest products and innovative design ideas to help you learn how Assistive Technology products and good design can make everyday living easier.

Community Talks

Have us come to you

AT Australia can arrange a community visit, providing information and advice about assistive technology available to assist with activities of daily living. Activities of daily living include:

  • Communication
  • Mobility
  • Self-care, such as Showering, Bathing and Dressing
  • Food Preparation and Cooking
  • Leisure and Recreation

We are able to tailor sessions to the particular needs and interests of your community group.
