Guide to Planning Bathrooms and Kitchens

cover of the planning guide to kitchens and bathrooms

The WAIT is over!
AT Australia Team revised the contents and published this popular Guide in late 2022.
For more information about the publication, call AT Australia Reception 1300 452 679.

Bathrooms and kitchens require special attention in the planning phase, as once they are built, they are expensive to alter or modify. This Guide gives basic advice on planning bathrooms and kitchens for people with specific needs, including ageing, wheelchair users, people with vision impairment and children.
The 2022 edition presents an update reviewing circulation and access requirements, taking into consideration of updated standards and broader accessibility perspectives. The new Guide also provides a general overview of innovative assistive technology available for home modifications and retrofits.

** ** Due to the high costs incurred in producing "Independent Living", AT Australia Board and Management decided to suspend the journal in its current form and delivery for the time being. We'll be investigating ways of creating a modern new improved publication which will be both self sustaining as well as relevant to our readers/clients.
