Browser Compatibility

We recognize that our visitors may have various operating systems and Internet browsers. Although we want every visitor to have the best possible experience on our website, we understand it is impossible to provide webpages that work identically, efficiently, and effectively with all browsers.

The website was developed with standards in mind

In order to support as wide a range of browsers as possible and allow users of all abilities (including those with a visual impairment or physical disability) to access the website, the site has been developed according to recognised standards set down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). One of these standards is for the use of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS2) so that the site supports any browser that in turn supports this standard.

Some browsers, particularly earlier versions (Netscape 4 and Internet Explorer 4 for example), either do not, or only partially support, this standard. These browsers might not display this site's text and graphics properly.

Most browser manufacturers allow you to upgrade to newer versions for free. If you are able to upgrade to a modern browser then we recommend that you do so.

The website has been tested for compatibility with the following browsers:

  • Firefox 3.5
  • Safari 4
  • Internet Explorer 6, 7, 8

The display and behaviour is by no means identical across them. At present the site is targetted primarily at Firefox and later.

The @magic service has been tested for compatibility with the following browsers:

  • Firefox 3.5
  • Safari 4
  • Internet Explorer 7, 8

If you find incompatibilities that seriously effect the usability of the site, or encounter new problems with more recent browser versions please include details of which page, the nature of the problem, which operating system and browser you are using contact us.
