MAT is an assessment tool essential for ensuring appropriate postural outcomes in relation to Seating and wheelchair prescription. Understanding the postural tendencies, postural capacity and required postural supports are the foundations for any wheelchair and seating assessment. This course is a practical hands on full day workshop. Basic pelvic positioning will be identified prior to the MAT 3 part approach. Attendees are encouraged to wear loose comfortable clothing and bring a towel or mat to work on the floor on. Basic seating principles will be used to guide the learning process however the focus will be on the doing aspects of completing a MAT assessment.

Trained in New Zealand, has over 10 years experience in the assessment, prescription and fitting of complex seating and mobility. Tracee-lee has presented and educated on this topic both in Australia and New Zealand. She has worked as a consultant clinican and educator.
